I was truly saddened by the news of the untimely passing of Adrian, his old school name,I had often wondered what and where my old school friend was doing, I when I read the obituary,I wasn't suprised to read of both his professional and personal successes. Gosh what a lovely family. My favorite emory of Adrian wasn't funny at the time it happened, but funny later in life. As most all who knew him, remember what a tough baseball player he was. Well I had the unfortunate task of playing against him in various local recreation leagues here in Gulfport, and one night I was piching for a team and faced the formidable left handed batting catcher. After getting ahead of him in the count, I tried to get fancy and throw a curve ball by him. The next thing I remember, I was being helped off the field by my coach after Mr. Jones had hit a line drive off my head. Getting hit was bad enough, but it bounced off my head, over the second baseman's head and into right field for a hit. Batter's luck I always told him, but as usual he claimed it was pure skill. I'll miss Adrian, and his perpetual smile, but I will always have the memories of his competive nature.
