As a neighbor here in Houston, we had daily/weekly personal visits. I think we had a great relationship as we respected each other. After a month of his cussing, I asked him to stop using words like MF and GD in our presence. At our age of 72, being from the old school, I told him I would not condone this language. He would, once in while get "fired-up" about something and warn us that he was going to use words that we didn't like. Imagine there were thousands of discussions about any topic you want to pick. He would come over with a bottle of wine, and ask Irene what deserts she had in the freezer. We gave him a key to the house so that he could help himself when we were out of town. One more story, even at my age, I use a walk behind mower to mow this half acre grass. He started another diet and I would tease him that he needed to get behind his mower and get some exercise. He kept giving me excuses and I continued to raze him, that if I could do it, so could he. Finally he attempted it and only got half of the front yard mowed and then called a lawn service to finish. That was an ongoing dig between us. One of the first things he did when he moved here, was to insist on hooking our computer to his system and kept us "upgraded". In closing, he was like a younger brother to us. We will miss him dearly and has left us with a huge void in our lives.
